The Secret to Happiness is Love

It's December y'all! The season of giving is upon us. I recently participated in a gratefulness challenge I made for myself because I felt like I was in a sort of slump. I am still looking for just the right fit job wise and feel like I have been maxed out to my limit when it comes to wedding planning, so I turned to growth/greatness podcasts and I came up with this challenge to better myself. Everyday for 25 days, I just noted something that I was grateful for. To make sure I stayed consistent, I made myself post a Tiktok about it, yes you read that right, every single day for 25 days. Not gonna lie, it was a drag some days, but other days I really enjoyed sharing. When the challenge came to an end though, I felt myself craving to make another video. I told myself I would continue being grateful everyday because of how blessed I am and not needing to share it but I was like why the heck not. Who freaking cares, no one is even watching them anyways LOL. I ended up really resonating with the one I just posted today. I shared in the video that I was having trouble sleeping last night and that I thought of something I had heard in my growth podcasts that helped me get to bed in peace. It was that happiness is created from giving and receiving love. Period. Happiness does not come from tangible things, but radiates from love and love only and solely. And it made me think about myself. In general, I'd say I'm a pretty happy person aside from maybe like 5-10 % of the time. Happiness is basically my default, so what exactly makes me that way? I think it's because I choose to remember that I am loved. I am lucky and blessed to have the family and friends that I do and they make me feel that way regularly. I also feel like I'm someone who loves to give love, whether it's via a compliment or a laugh or just being comforting, I love making people feel comfortable around me just being themselves. I choose to be happy because I have chosen to love others and have chosen to genuinely feel loved by others. Sometimes I really do feel like I'm bragging when I talk about how loved I feel and it makes me sad to think that people don't get the love, encouragement, and praise that I always was so blessed to have. I know that there are so many people out there, especially during the holiday season, that struggle with both finding love and giving love, whether it be because there really is no one for you to talk to or because you don't know how to show your love to others. Either way, I want to show a helping hand. I literally have so much free time, I love loving others and would love to talk to anyone that wants to experience some happiness in their daily life. So this is me reaching out to anyone reading this, feel free to email me at cjslifeemail@gmail.com with whatever you wanna talk about! I wanna love on you and show that you can be happy in whatever season of life that you're in. Never forget that happiness equates to giving and receiving love. Happy December and I can't wait to hear from you!
